Meet
Sage and Spirit
Sage and Spirit are a bonded pair of female budgies.
From their foster home: "They are both super sweet birds -- quiet, polite and kind to one another. They fly around and play a few times a day, but otherwise are content to sit up on the window singing and chewing on toys. They are very nervous around people, but have recently become more comfortable taking food and water from my hand, and have even begun to step onto my finger if I offer them a fresh sprig of millet. I'm still trying to get a read on their personalities, but as best I can tell: Sage is the bolder, more practical bird. She watches out for her sister and will literally jump in front of her when she feels nervous, as if to protect her from danger. Sage is also very calm and quiet, though she gets very excited when her sister invites her to play, and she loves eating spinach and millet. Spirit is the free flying soul of the flock. She loves to soar around the room and play, but at the same time she can be far more timid and looks to her sister for safety when she feels nervous. Spirit is slower to adjust around people, but once she feels comfortable seems very active and friendly."
