Other comments: As far as the rescue knows, Bo is a 6 year old cockatiel, and one of the sweetest birds this foster home has ever seen. He loves to get scritches and will scream until he get's picked up, taken to the couch, and given all the scritches he wants. He loves to have his people around and gets along well with his fellow foster tiel Peepers. But Bo's sweet nature means he shouldn't be housed with a more aggressive bird. Bo is underweight and he needs to permanently gain about 5 grams to get him up to 98 grams. (He's currently hovering 93g. but he's up from 90g.). He likes to explore the floor, tables, and chew electric cords so keep an eye on him! I was also told by his last foster home that he is a bit of an escape artist. He knows how to let himself out of cage doors that can slide up. Another important thing to know about Bo is that he is a weak flyer. The vet has discovered that his left wing has no musculature at all. That means he is more reluctant than most small birds to fly. And he also wants to be picked up and carried around. I am working with him to sit on my shoulder- which doesn't take much coaxing.
